Why a food truck for your event.

A food truck brings its own kitchen, so the venue does not need one. That single fact opens up rooftops, warehouses, lofts, plazas, and backyards that would never pass for a catered dinner. Anywhere with room to park and a clear path for guests will work.

It is also the rare catering people remember. A truck is a talking point and a photo backdrop as much as a meal: novel enough to anchor a launch, refined enough to plate a wedding, fast enough to feed a festival. Service is visible, food comes hot off the pass, and the format scales from an intimate dinner to a few thousand guests without losing what makes it good.

Across NYC it works indoor-adjacent or fully outdoors: parked at a loading dock feeding a party inside, tucked into a plaza, or set on a closed street. Our crews and prep move with the weather, so it runs in any season.

Planning your event.

A few decisions shape the whole day: how many trucks, what is on the menu, how long you serve, and how early to lock it in. Here is how we think through each.

Headcount to trucks

One truck comfortably feeds around 150 guests across a three-hour window. Past that, we add staff to speed the line or bring a second truck so nobody waits.

Menu & dietary

Every menu is built to the crowd; vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free options are standard, not upcharged afterthoughts.

Service duration

Most events run a two-to-four-hour service window. We staff and prep to hold that pace start to finish, whether it is a steady trickle or one hard rush.

Booking lead time

Two to three weeks is comfortable for an unbranded truck. A custom wrap needs more: design, print, and install add roughly a week or two on top.

How booking works.

01 Tell us the brief
Date, headcount, market, and the vibe you are after. A sentence is enough to start.
02 We scope & quote
We size the truck, staff, and menu to the event and send a clear, itemized quote with no mystery line items.
03 Menu & logistics locked
We finalize the menu, dietary options, timing, and the permit and location details.
04 Truck arrives staffed
On the day, a fully staffed, permitted truck rolls in ready to serve, with setup and teardown handled.
05 You host
You greet guests while the line moves. We handle the rest.

Event food truck FAQs

How much does it cost to book a food truck for an event?
Unbranded event rentals in NYC run $1,500–$9,000 a day. Adding a custom wrap and a full activation moves that to $10,000 and up. See our cost guide for the full breakdown.
How many people can one food truck serve?
Around 150 guests over a three-hour service window is comfortable for one truck. Above that, a second truck beats a longer window — one service window can only move one queue, however long you leave it open.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for an unbranded event rental. A custom wrap needs three to six weeks, because design, print, and install stack on top of permitting.
Can you cater an indoor event?
Yes. The truck parks in a loading zone, garage, driveway, or just outside, and staff run food in, so you get truck-fresh service without a kitchen in the room.
Do you handle drinks and dessert?
We can. Alongside the main menu we add dessert trucks or carts, coffee and espresso service, and non-alcoholic drink stations; for bar service we coordinate with a licensed partner.
What happens if it rains?
The truck is weatherproof and service continues in most conditions. For guest comfort we plan covered queuing or a rain date up front, so a wet forecast never catches the day off guard.
Do you handle permits for private events?
Yes. Permitting, insurance, and location scouting are all included, whether the event is public or private.
Can you brand the truck for a corporate event?
Yes. We tailor the menu to your event and can wrap the truck to your creative. A full or partial wrap turns service into a branded moment your guests photograph.
