How renting a food truck works.
Five steps from first email to a wrapped truck serving on the street. You approve the creative and the dates; we carry the build, the paperwork, and the people.
Inquiry
Tell us the brand, the market, and the dates. We scope the build, the footprint, and a working budget within a day or two.
Design & wrap
We design the wrap in-house to your creative and produce it for the truck, with glass, service window, and menu built to match.
Permit & staff
City permits, insurance, and a scouted location are secured, and trained, brand-ready staff are assigned to run the truck.
Launch
The truck arrives parked, plugged in, and serving on schedule for the run of your activation.
Report
Impressions, footfall, and earned media are counted and sent back, so you can show what the spend bought.
Run a food truck rental campaign in NYC.
From a single-day activation to a multi-week campaign, a rented truck can anchor almost any brand moment in the city. A few of the ways brands use one:
Brand activations
A custom-wrapped storefront that drives to the crowd. The core of a food truck rental campaign in NYC, built for launches and promotions.
Corporate & private events
Fully staffed food service for offices, parties, and premieres.
Product launches & sampling
Put product in hands in high-traffic NYC locations.
Film & production
On-set catering and branded builds for shoots across the city.
What you can rent.
- Custom-wrapped activation truck
- A full or partial wrap built to your creative. The flagship for launches and campaigns where the vehicle is the media; design, production, and fit-out happen in-house.
- Unbranded event truck
- A clean, ready-to-serve truck for corporate events, private parties, and weddings where the moment is the food, not the logo. The fastest option to book.
- Specialty builds
- Ice-cream and dessert trucks, and coffee and espresso carts. Specced to the product and the crowd you want to draw.
Parked where the city looks: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island.
We scout and permit the corners that actually draw a crowd: SoHo and the Meatpacking District, Williamsburg and DUMBO, Hudson Yards, Flatiron, the Financial District, and the sampling routes around Midtown and Long Island City. One local team runs the wrap, the permit, and the pour, so the truck lands in the right neighborhood on the right day rather than parked where a permit was easy to get.
Food truck rental FAQs
- How much does it cost to rent a food truck in NYC?
- NYC rates run $1,500–$9,000 a day for an unbranded, staffed truck, and from $10,000 for a fully wrapped brand activation. Multi-day and multi-market campaigns start around $50,000.
- Can a truck come just for the lunch rush?
- It can serve a two-hour lunch window, but you are still booking a day. The truck is prepped, driven, staffed, permitted, and parked whether it serves for one hour or six, and the permit is issued for the day either way. Our day rate starts at $1,500.
- How much to rent a food truck for 3 hours?
- A three-hour service window is priced as a single day: $1,500–$9,000 unbranded, or from $10,000 wrapped and staffed. Most NYC events book a 2–4 hour window inside that day rate, which is what the price already assumes.
- Can you park a food truck anywhere in NYC?
- No. Mobile food vending in New York City requires a Department of Health permit and a licensed vendor, and large parts of Midtown and Lower Manhattan are restricted or off-limits entirely. We scout and permit a legal pitch as part of every booking.
- Do I need a permit to have a food truck at my NYC event?
- Yes, in almost every case — and which permit depends on whether you are on private property, a private plaza, or a public curb. Permitting, insurance certificates, and location scouting are handled for you; it is the part that most affects lead time.
- Can you rent for a single day?
- Yes. Single-day rentals are common for premieres, office events, and one-off sampling. Multi-day and multi-week runs, the norm for wrapped brand activations, are priced per day with the design and wrap amortized across the run.
- Can the truck park right outside my Manhattan venue?
- Sometimes at the curb, more often on the venue’s own ground. A legal public curb space in Manhattan is the scarcest part of any NYC booking and needs a city permit. A private plaza, forecourt, or lot generally needs the property owner’s approval and a certificate of insurance naming them instead, and a midtown building will often add a loading-dock window and security clearance on top. Send the address early and we scout and permit whichever route is actually available.
- Do you provide the food?
- We can. Menus, ingredients, and kitchen staff are available as an option, built to fit the brand and the crowd. If you have a chef, partner, or fixed menu in mind, the truck can run yours instead.
- Do you handle permits and insurance?
- Yes. Permitting, insurance, and location scouting are all handled for you. You bring the brand; we handle the logistics.
- Do you serve outside Manhattan?
- Yes. We work across all five boroughs, plus the surrounding NYC metro on request. Where the truck can legally park, it can serve.
- How far in advance should we book?
- For custom-wrapped activations, 3–6 weeks is ideal to allow for design, wrap, and permitting. Faster turnarounds are possible for unbranded rentals.
