Taco & Pizza Trucks

Taco truck catering, cooked where it is eaten.

A staffed taco truck for hire, for weddings, parties, and corporate events, from $1,500 a day. Tacos griddled and assembled on board rather than trayed up in a kitchen somewhere and driven over. Permits, staffing, and a legal place to park are handled across all five boroughs and the tri-state area.

What’s included.

The truck and its crew
A fully equipped taco truck, its operator, and the service staff to run your window. Griddle, prep, and service all happen on board.
A menu built to the crowd
Al pastor, carne asada, chicken, and a vegetarian option as standard, with the salsas and toppings set out so guests build their own. Vegan and gluten-free are menu decisions, not special requests.
Cooked to order, on site
Tortillas hit the griddle when the guest is standing there. This is the difference between a taco truck and a catering tray, and it is most of the reason people book one.
Permits, parking, insurance
The permit, the certificate of insurance your venue asks for, and a scouted legal spot for the truck. The paperwork is the part that usually goes wrong and it is the part we do.
Pizza from the same fleet
A wood-or-deck-fired pizza truck runs the same booking, staffing, and permitting path. Neapolitan Express, our fleet flagship, is a pizza truck.
Taco cart for indoor rooms
Where a truck cannot park or a room is indoors, the same menu runs off a staffed cart on standard building power. Fewer covers per hour, but it gets into lobbies and ballrooms a truck will never reach.
Optional wrap
For a brand activation rather than a meal, the truck gets wrapped in your creative. That is a different budget and a longer lead time, and it is priced from $10,000.
Late-night service
The most-booked wedding slot we run. A taco truck pulling up at eleven for guests who have been dancing for three hours is a different event from the same truck at six.

Why tacos, specifically.

A taco is close to the ideal food-truck product, which is why taco trucks outnumber every other kind. It is built in seconds, eaten standing up with one hand, and it does not need a table, a plate, or cutlery. That combination is what lets a single truck keep a line of two hundred people moving without the queue ever becoming the story of the evening.

It also solves the problem every caterer has with a mixed room. A taco bar built at the window is self-serving by design: the same three proteins and one vegetarian option cover meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free guests without a separate menu, a separate order, or anyone being handed a sad plate of something else. Guests assemble what they want and nobody has to declare anything to a server.

And it holds its quality in a way most catered food does not. Food that is griddled twenty feet from where it is eaten has not spent forty minutes in a hotel box. For a wedding running late, an office floor eating in shifts, or a street activation where the crowd arrives in waves, cooking to order is the only version that still tastes right at the end of the window.

Planning a taco truck.

Throughput, honestly
A standard hot menu runs 60 to 100 guests an hour, and our standing planning figure is about 150 guests across a three-hour window per truck, comfortable rather than maximum. Those are category planning ranges rather than a spec sheet for a particular vehicle, and the exact figures for the truck you book are confirmed in writing on your quote.
One truck is one line
The constraint is the service window, not the kitchen. If two hundred guests are released from a ceremony at the same moment, a longer window does not make the queue move faster. A second truck or a second service point does. It is worth saying how the crowd arrives, not just how many of them there are.
Weddings run late, and that is fine
Late-night is the most common wedding booking on this page, and it is the easiest one to plan because the crowd has already thinned and arrives in ones and twos rather than all at once. Tell us the reception timeline rather than a service time and we will place the window where it actually works.
Where the truck can legally sit
For a private venue this is usually a driveway or a lot and it is straightforward. On a public street in New York it is a permit, a scouted spot, and a real possibility that the obvious kerb is not a legal one. That is the piece that needs the two to three weeks of lead time, not the food.
Where we are not the cheapest option
A neighbourhood taquero with one truck will quote less than we will for a straightforward backyard party, and for that job they are the right call. We are worth the difference when the venue needs certificates and permits, when the truck has to be wrapped, when the date is contested, or when it is running alongside other trucks we are already staffing. If it is purely the cheapest tacos you need, we will tell you.

FAQs

How much does taco truck catering cost?
A staffed, unbranded taco truck starts around $1,500 a day, moving with headcount, hours, and menu. Wrapping the truck for a brand activation is a different tier and starts at $10,000. See our cost guide for the full breakdown.
How many guests can one taco truck serve?
A standard hot taco menu runs 60 to 100 guests an hour, and we plan on roughly 150 guests across a three-hour window for a single truck. Those are category ranges rather than one vehicle’s specification, and your quote confirms the figures for the truck you book.
Can you cater a wedding with a taco truck?
Yes, and late-night is the slot we run most. The truck can serve the main meal or arrive after the dancing has started, and because tacos are built at the window there is no plated service to time against your reception schedule.
Do you have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free tacos?
Yes, as standard rather than on request. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, and a vegetarian and vegan protein sit on the menu alongside the meat so no guest has to ask for something different.
Can I rent a taco truck for a party rather than book catering?
They are the same booking. The truck, its operator, and the service crew come together, so renting the truck for a private party and catering the party are one thing priced one way, from $1,500 a day.
Do you offer a pizza truck as well as a taco truck?
Yes. Our fleet flagship, Neapolitan Express, is a pizza truck, and it books through the same permitting and staffing process. Pizza suits a slower, steadier crowd; tacos move a hard rush faster.
Can the taco truck park at my venue?
At a private venue with a driveway or lot, almost always. On a public street in New York it needs a permit and a scouted legal spot, which is the part that wants two to three weeks of lead time. We confirm the parking before the date rather than on the morning.
Can you brand a taco truck for a product launch?
Yes. The truck gets wrapped in your creative and can hand out branded packaging alongside the food, which turns a sampling push into something guests photograph. Branded activations are priced from $10,000 and need longer for wrap production.
