What’s included.

On-set catering
Reliable crew catering that works to a call sheet and holds pace through long and night-shoot days.
Custom builds
A branded or dressed truck as a hero prop or practical set piece when the script or the commercial calls for one.
Permits & mobility
Permitting, insurance, and location handled so the truck moves with production across the boroughs.
Call-sheet timing
Service built around the call sheet rather than a fixed window: early crew call, split lunch, and second meal at the hour it actually lands.
Night shoots and weather holds
Long, unsociable, and subject to change. We staff for the schedule you have, and we expect it to move.
Production insurance & COIs
Certificates naming the production entity, issued to whatever the location agreement and the studio require.
Picture-ready trucks
A dressed or period-appropriate truck that can hold up on camera, not just feed the crew behind it.

Why a food truck on set.

Production runs on its stomach and its schedule, and a food truck respects both. It works to a call sheet, feeds a crew fast during a tight turnaround, and moves to the next location when the shoot does — no fixed kitchen tying you to one place. For long days and night shoots across the city, that mobility and reliability is the whole point of catering from a truck rather than a static setup.

A truck can also earn its keep on camera. Because we design and wrap builds to spec, the same vehicle that feeds the crew can be a hero prop, a practical set piece, or a branded truck for a commercial, dressed to the scene rather than reading as craft services. One booking covers the crew meal and the shot.

Working to a call sheet.

Two different jobs, often confused
Crew catering and a picture vehicle are separate bookings with separate requirements. One has to feed sixty people at an hour that keeps moving; the other has to survive a close-up. Occasionally one truck does both, but it is worth saying up front which you actually need.
The schedule will move, and we plan for that
Weather holds, overruns, and a lunch that lands ninety minutes late are the normal condition of a shoot, not an exception. We staff and quote on that basis rather than treating a changed call time as a variation.
Second meal and night shoots
A sixth-hour meal on a night shoot is a different service from a daytime crew lunch: smaller, hotter, and at an hour when nothing else is open. It is one of the more common reasons production calls us rather than a caterer.
Locations move; the paperwork follows
A production that shifts across three boroughs in a week needs the permits and the certificates to move with it. Handling that is the practical reason to use one truck partner for a whole shoot rather than booking locally each day.
Period and dressed trucks need lead time
A truck that has to read as a specific era, brand, or city on camera is a build, not a booking. Bring the production designer into the conversation early — retrofitting that onto a truck already scheduled to cater is the hard version.

FAQs

Do you cater to a call sheet?
Yes. We work to production schedules and call times, hold service pace through long days, and can move between locations as the shoot requires.
Can the truck appear on camera?
Yes. We build, dress, and wrap trucks as hero props and practical set pieces; the same vehicle can feed the crew and appear in the shot.
Which areas do you cover?
All five boroughs and surrounding NYC-metro production locations, with permitting handled per location.
Can you handle dietary requirements for a crew?
Yes. Crew menus cover vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free as a matter of course.
How much does production catering cost?
On-set catering is typically priced from the unbranded day rate (~$1,500–$9,000/day); a branded hero build for a commercial is quoted separately. See our cost guide.
